Every page is a new drawing: one or more blobs laid over a hand-drawn grid. You color it in, one shape at a time or all at once.
| F Fill | Tap a shape to fill it with the current color. With the loupe on, touch, slide to aim, and lift to fill; with a mouse or pen it follows the pointer over the page. |
| L Line | Drag to draw a straight line. |
| C Curve | Drag a line, then pull the dot to bend it. Starting another stroke keeps the curve. |
| S Shapes | Press inside a field where a decoration should start and drag to grow it: dots, circles, rings, drops, hearts, stars, suns and more, as many as you like. Drops and leaves point along the drag. Spirals (1, 2 or 3 arms) center themselves and follow the field's outline. Hold the button (or right-click it) to pick one. |
| Fan | One of the shapes. Drag from one corner of a field to the other: the tips spread evenly along the far side and stop just short of the line, and the outer strokes follow the field's sides. |
| A Auto color | Colors every field at once, using the style set under Auto color. |
Shapes stay inside the field you press in. fit to field sets how they meet its edge: 0 shrinks the shape to fit, 100 lets it flatten against the line. ink gives shape lines a finish: glitter, pearl (pick its three tones, or start from a combo) or a metal (gold, silver, copper, bronze, bismuth). Filled shapes stay plain.
The drawing's own lines are black on light paper and white on dark. Change them under Drawing, Ink; the rainbow chip picks any color.
Stroke tools and shapes draw on top of the color. Turn on wall and what you draw becomes part of the outline, so fills stop at it: fill inside a circle, or around a star.
Pick from the palette grid. Under Palettes are the three palettes you took to the app; tap one to color with it. More palettes… opens the palette page in its own tab: places, skies, fades and pairs, sorting by a color, making your own, and saving three together as a combination. Whatever you take there shows up here right away. New mix swaps the palette in use for a fresh one; Keep saves it to My palettes, Back brings the one it replaced back.
Smallest cell keeps the generator from making cells too small to color; leftover crumbs become solid ink knots. The crossing lines are drawn like a marker that never lifts: one back-and-forth pass leaning top left to bottom right, then one leaning bottom left to top right. Each stroke swings from the elbow, so it bows to the left. Hand-drawn sets how strong that swing is (0 draws with a ruler) and how much the hand wobbles. The page takes the shape of the stage when you press New.
Style (under Drawing) switches between Blobs and Knot. A knot is nests of bands wrapped around a few centers (rings, ribbons, squares, diamonds, flowers, combs, spirals) that push into each other where they meet. Its seed decides everything about it: the same seed always draws the same knot, and any word works as a seed too. New rolls a fresh one.
Rings spreads one color family per ring of grid squares out from the center, alternating light and dark. Random uses any palette color, never the same as a touching cell.
Save image lets you pick a size (720p up to 8K) and a format: PNG for printing and any app, WebP for a smaller file to share, Small PNG (up to 256 colors) for the tiniest file, and SVG, which keeps the lines and shapes as real vector paths for Illustrator, Inkscape or Affinity (the colored fills come along as a picture underneath). The dialog shows the file size before you save. Everything happens on your device; nothing is uploaded. Keep this one stores the drawing in this browser so you can reopen and keep coloring; Save file writes it to a .json file you can open anywhere.
